5 Facets of God’s Character

Love/Mercy….Sensitivity….Holiness/Wrath

The Christian Church has never satisfactorily resolved God’s Character… is He primarily a God of Love, or a God of Wrath ?? We seem to think that He should be one or the other. Actually, He’s both. Scriptural accounts demonstrate both extremes, & we debate how this should be resolved. Page 2 will graphically-illustrate God’s match-up “solution" between: 1) “His” Love & Wrath, and 2) “Mankind’s” rebellion & love. This is a match-up that we shall all be blessed by… be thankful for… and praise Him for… thru-out eternity. It is also an answer to another question… how can God “justly” place Mankind into His Kingdom, seeing the extreme variance of Mankind’s reaction to Him?… many who barely accept Him… & the few who truly love Him. The scriptures never tell us that “One Reward Fits All”. So, “Praise God” that He has a perfect answer to the two-fold enigma… God’s varied Character..&..Mankind’s varied Reactions. It’s: Moses Tabernacle… the 3 Glories of Heaven. This ingenious solution satisfies all the varying factors… both God’s, and Man’s.

The theology of the last 500 yrs has centered on God’s love, & mercy. We had perfect understanding that it was because of God’s love, mercy, & desire to rescue fallen Mankind, that He sent Yeshua to pay the price of our deadly rebellion. We need only to accept Him. But now, as of 1906, God has re-opened the door to the Kingdom’s 2nd Glory. In so doing, another facet of God’s character has come into play. Because the 2nd Glory is indwelled & empowered by the Holy Spirit, we must now take into account the sensitivity of God’s Spirit. Those who have received the Holy Spirit must guard against grieving Him… specifically the most insulting, unforgivable sin of attributing the Works and Power of the Holy Spirit to the arch enemy… Satan and/or his demons. Matt 12:24,31,32 Mk 3:22.29,30 In our progression unto The Father, the trial-walk with God’s Spirit also determines, in part, our further maturity/growth. Now the path has become narrower and Spiritually-sensitive. And similarly, the eternal Kingdom-abode of the Victors, has been ratcheted-up to the next Glory. As we progress from Glory to Glory… the path becomes narrower and narrower. The rules get tighter, but the immediate & eternal pay-backs become greater. God’s offers carry proportionate qualifiers, & so, the most involved part of the path can be the final part… until we have learned the important lessons, and are living the 3rd Glory life-style that delights the Father. The Spirit-led Believers who correctly recognize, honor, love, & worship the Father, will have achieved a critical hurdle in completing the Tabernacle-path that Yeshua also walked.. of accomplishing the Father’s perfect will, & then returning to Him. He left many examples to help us follow in His steps. “..live according to the pattern..” Phil 3:12-17 “..be faithful to its design..” Ez 43:10,11

In this final part of the race, we now encounter the facets of God’s character that set the “tone” of His review of all who diligently pursue His “high invitation”. It is His tenacious, hold-to-the-line, high standard… a feature of His Holiness & Wrath… applied “without respect of persons” finding them “approved” or “unapproved” to enter His Holy City. Men’s doctrines are stopped at the 3rd Glory door, as discovered too-late by the man without a Wedding Garment. Matt 22:1-14 Whereas God’s Love & Mercy provided a way for unrepentant Sinners to easily receive Salvation… His “Holiness/Wrath”… demands that He guard the door to His glorious Holy City wherein none shall enter but the pure in heart. God wants His ‘Terms of Entry’ to His Holy City clearly under-stood by all serious Runners. He has directed me to warn them in advance, to limit the countless “Unapproved” who will shipwreck their faith from lack of knowledge… not understanding the Fiery Mountain that they had so carelessly approached. Heb 12:18-28, Ex 19:21 Unapproved gets no ‘2nd chance’. Heb 6:4-6 The Holy Spirit will not be given a 2nd time, for another try… obviously “one” massive insult is hurt enough. God’s “Holy” Spirit is sensitive, as is God, Himself. His Holiness/Wrath also requires Him to guard His Heart, & thus, all professed love will be tested for truelove. “Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires” Song of Songs 2:7, 8:4

Love/Mercy….Sensitivity….Holiness/Wrath
Five facets of God’s character form the themes of His 3-Glory Kingdom… all of them utilized in a way that allows our Holy God to offer 3 Glories of life, and therein justly award each Believer their correct Glory-Placement, based on their works… cold, lukewarm, hot.

Don’t misjudge The Father: in contrast to His allowable-will toward the immature conduct of the Outer- Court Believers… He critically enforces His entry requirements & restrictions toward all those who “pursue the prize of the high invitation of God” Phil 3:14 This, than, is the reason for, & the commonality between, the OT Era of His Wrath, the Early Rain, and the Later Rain, now beginning… all relating to His reproving, disciplining, & scourging of those who struggle to be, & remain, His Sons & Daughters. Heb 12:5-8 ( Note: God’s Wrath toward the Unbelieving/Wicked World Is a separate issue, not addressed herein.)

The chart shows Holiness & Wrath bundled together, altho they’re totally different facets. We have here a classic example of God’s facets “working together”. In this case, Wrath must protect Holiness. To maintain His HOLY City, God “swore in His wrath” against the “Unapproved” of Ancient Israel. Heb 3:11 It’s God’s flawless high standards, and His tenacity that will eternally preserve the Holiness & Magnificence of “the City”.

the IMPORTANCE of KNOWING the GLORIOUS MAJESTY of GOD (dealing with the “popular” mis-identification of the Father)

Praise God that His Love & Mercy has implored Him to design an Outer Court to accommodate the Immature Believers. We’re thankful for His love & mercy, but easily forget that “everything holds together” because of God’s emphatic, no-back-down, tenacity… a feature of His “Wrath”. Therefore… absolutely praise God for His Wrath, also !!!
